Human-Centered, Systemic Change Agenda


Our human-centered policy agenda applies the Human First Lens, the Integrity Model and the Theory of Oppression to the United States Constitution’s framework to secure individual freedom and civil and social equality, inclusion and accessibility for all people in the United States of America. Our agenda includes eight (8) key areas, each with their own goals and objectives.

Integrity in Government


We support empowerment-based and human centered advocacy efforts, policies and systems that lead to:

  • Congress adopting the following or similar mission statement for the United States of America: “To secure the rights to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness for all people by promoting a more perfect union, establishing justice, insuring domestic tranquility, providing for the common defense, promoting the general welfare, and securing the blessings of liberty for all Americans their future generations.”
  • Congress adopting a widely available and easy to access strategic plan for the United States that includes progress reports to the American people
  • Dismantling the two-party system and replacing it with nonpartisan elections at the local, state and federal levels
  • Election system reforms that safeguard voter intentions and ensure true election equity for independent, non-partisan candidates, regardless of geographic location or income status
  • Term limits for the U.S. House and Senate that ensure more Americans have the opportunity to participate in and lead our government
  • Voting rights laws that guarantee all Americans who have reached the age of 18 can vote in their local, state and federal elections with no exceptions, and particularly including those who are incarcerated or have convictions
  • Reinforcing the U.S. Supreme Court’s primary role to safeguard individual liberties, and protect the U.S. Supreme Court from partisan influence, propaganda, and interference from the Executive and Legislative Branches

Economic and Immigration Accessibility


We support empowerment-based and human centered advocacy efforts, policies and systems that lead to: 

  • Eliminating the Federal income tax and replacing it with an equity-based tiered federal sales tax system, or a structure that provides greater equity and economic security for Americans and the United States itself
  • Nationwide universal basic income that provides a fixed monthly payment and/or lifetime allotments to all Americans at the age of 18 regardless of income status, and that includes a one-time reparations payment for any person who has been a victim of individual or generational government endorsed racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism,  classism, homelessness, poverty, addictions, or mental health diagnosis. 
  • Fair, human centered immigration reform that outlines a simple, accessible, and easily understood process for U.S. Citizenship, and allows all those who wish to a become U.S. Citizen, to do so

Promoting and Celebrating Diversity and Unity Among the American People While Ensuring Accessibility and Inclusion


We support empowerment-based and human centered advocacy efforts, policies and systems that lead to:

  • Continuous promotion and celebration of the thousands of diverse heritages and cultural traditions of the people who inhabit the United States of America’s lands, while promoting unity and shared traditions of all modern Americans
  • Eradicating racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism, classism, political and religious discrimination, and other forms of oppression and discrimination using trauma-informed, empowerment-based education
  • Providing free mental health services and support for victims of institutionalized racism, homophobia, sexism, ableism, and other forms of discrimination and oppression
  • Expanding and securing civil rights and community and system participation for all Americans, with a current enhanced focus on LGBTQ community members, people who are impacted by the criminal justice system, and people who choose to remain unvaccinated for religious, medical or personal reasons

Promoting Justice and Fairness


We support empowerment-based and human centered advocacy efforts, policies and systems that lead to: 

  • Limiting the use of the word “crime” and engagement with the criminal justice system to actions involving a specific victim or victims other than oneself, including murder, targeted threats and intimidation, bodily harm, rape, kidnapping, theft, fraud and property destruction; Preventing use of the criminal justice system to enforce regulations that do not involve criminal acts (i.e. not wearing a seatbelt, underage drinking, drug use/possession, etc.) 
  • Local, state and federal policies that enact Restorative Justice systems and philosophies that focus on healing for the victim of the crime, individualized rehabilitation services for the person who committed the crime, as well as facilitation of reconciliation between parties whenever possible
  • Local, state and federal policies that prohibit the use of incarceration or heavy fines for regulatory infractions and actions in which there is no victim (i.e. not wearing a seatbelt, underage drinking, drug use/possession, etc.)
  • Local, state and federal policies that promote fair sentence reforms that limit the use of incarceration to those who present a clear and present danger to themselves or others, prohibit the use of cage-based incarceration, focus on mental health, education, community engagement and reintegration services, and significantly reduce incarceration time periods
  • Local, state and federal policies that eliminate the death penalty
  • Local, state and federal policies that provide for meaningful policing systems reform that result in enhanced services, protection and well-being for all members of a community, as well as enhanced well-being for police officers
  • Local, state and federal policies that prohibit the use of lethal force
  • Local, state and federal policies that end the “War on Drugs”, remove drug use as a criminal justice matter, and focus on prevention and addiction treatment services

Promoting Domestic Tranquility and Harmony


We support empowerment-based and human centered advocacy efforts, policies and systems that lead to:

  • Local, state and federal policies that guarantee and safeguard an individual’s reproductive rights, including the ability to access safe abortions
  • Local, state and federal policies that protect an individual’s ability to explore and express their own religious beliefs, while ensuring an individual’s religious beliefs do not impact another person’s human rights, civil rights, constitutional rights or access to basic human needs.
  • Local, state and federal policies that enhance all worker and employee rights, specifically including reduction of hours in the standard workweek and guaranteed, reason-free, employer-provided paid-time-off for all workers at the equivalent of 3-4 weeks; However, please note, All People Thriving does not support PTO policies that require workers to pay into a PTO fund out of their paycheck, and/or seek access to PTO funds based on eligibility requirements
  • Gun rights legislation that codifies the right for all Americans to be free from gun violence and intimidation, while securing the right for gun owners to own guns for the purpose of self-defense, hunting, sports and state-sanctioned militias when accompanied by responsible gun ownership and mental health and wellness training
  • Marriage and family rights that guarantee the ability for consenting adults to form legal marriage relationships with other consenting adults of their choosing
  • Local, state and federal policies that further articulate the rights of parents as well as the rights of children
  • Local, state and federal policies that protect, defend and enhance privacy rights; Local, state and federal policies that prohibit the use of Biometric Data as requirement to access government or public services
  • Local, state and federal policies that enhance customer rights by increasing Americans’ awareness of their rights as customers and expanding them as needed

Promoting Integrity and Transparency in National Defense and Foreign Affairs


We support empowerment-based and human centered advocacy efforts, policies and systems that lead to: 

  • Federal policies that narrow the size and scope of the President’s War Powers, and ensures thorough and proper Congressional oversight for war and conflict-related activities
  • Federal policies that honor the physical, mental and emotional health and well-being of those who serve in the United States Armed Forces
  • Federal, state and local policies that enhance the use of technologies and tools developed by the military for the public benefit
  • Policies and systems that increase awareness of and provide Americans with a framework to understand America’s current relationship status with all other nations, to include at minimum:
    • Mutual defense partners
    • Economic trade partners
    • Diplomatic relationship partners
    • Nations in which the United States is providing Peace-Keeping and Stability services at the request of the host nation
    • Active Conflicts in which the United States is a participant at the request of a mutual defense partner or ally
    • Wars in which the United States Congress has declared war

Promoting the General Welfare and Securing Basic Human Needs for All Americans


We support empowerment-based and human centered advocacy efforts, policies and systems that lead to: 

  • Human centered policies and funding that support space exploration and technology for creating and maintaining sustainable, clean, livable environments on Earth and beyond
  • Human centered policies, funding, technologies and systems that protect Earth’s environment from Earth-based, space-based and human-made threats
  • Policies and systems that enhance and ensure accessibility for people of all physical, mental and emotional abilities in America’s soft systems (paperwork, billing processes), built environments (sidewalks, buildings), and transportation
  • Policies, systems and technologies that ensure clean and healthy air for all Americans, regardless of income or geographic location
  • Local, state and federal policies, systems and technologies that guarantee all Americans have access to clean, drinkable water
  • Local, state, federal and private-sector policies that enhance and secure affordable housing for all people, lead to the elimination of homelessness, and do not rely on an “income-based” model; All People Thriving does not support policies that criminalize homelessness 
  • Local, state, federal and private-sector policies, systems and technologies that ensure 100% of Americans have access to environmentally friendly energy and utilities
  • A national universal health care system that guarantees 100% of Americans have access to high quality, whole-person, patient-centered health care treatment and services, regardless of income, employment status or geographic location and do not utilize the health insurance model
  • Local, state and federal programs, policies and systems that ensure 100% of Americans have access to healthy food and nutrition, and eliminate eligibility requirements to access these services
  • Local, state and federal programs that ensure all Americans have access to comprehensive K-12 and college or trade education
  • Federal policies and systems that recognize and protect the United States Postal Service as a fundamental communications infrastructure
  • Local, state and federal polices and systems that enhance transportation and mobility options for all people; Local, state and federal policies and systems that prepare to replace the gas tax and do not utilize pay-per-mile strategies
  • Local, state and federal policies that increase funding for arts, innovative technologies, researchers and entrepreneurs

Securing Individual Rights and Liberties for Future Generations


We support empowerment-based and human centered advocacy efforts, policies and systems that lead to: 

  • Increased awareness of Americans’ individual, human, civil and constitutional rights
  • Increased access to rules and laws, and information on how to navigate the legal and criminal justice system to secure and defend one’s rights
  • Technologies, policies and systems that help advocates, lawmakers and Americans identify and sound the alarm on “suspect laws” which are likely to intrude on a person’s individual, human, civil or constitutional rights before they are passed
  • Further development, promotion and awareness of the United States of America’s human rights and peacekeeping agenda in international affairs

We intentionally target root causes of oppression with human-centered, systemic policy changes that result in personal freedom and individual thriving.
